Doug has spent much of his career working across Dorset, building, renovating, and improving homes. Through years of practical experience, he developed a deep understanding of how thoughtful design, reliable materials, and skilled installation can transform a house into a comfortable and welcoming home.

The inspiration for Lilliput Log Burners began in 2015 when Doug installed a log burner for his own parents in Oakdale, Poole. Wanting to create a cosy, efficient, sustainable and cost efective heating solution for their home.

Seeing the comfort and warmth the fire brought to their home sparked something bigger. a vision to help other families experience the same feeling. He started working for local log burner installation companies.

From that moment, Doug dedicated himself to specialising in log burner installation and fireplace solutions, combining his building expertise with a commitment to safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible natural heating.
